Dynamic IT Korea Experience
Participants can experience up-to-date IT services such as the wireless broadband (WiBro), a Korean version of the mobile WiMAX, interactive TV and portable digital multi-media broadcasting (DMB) during their stay in Korea, one of the most “connected” countries in the world.
WiBro Experience
Date: 15-19 June 2008
Available to: Ministers-level, working-level participants to the Ministerial and the press from home
and abroad
Location: COEX and the Seoul National Capital Area
Description
- Ministers-level will be provided with WiBro-enabled handsets with their user interface tailored to the
Ministerial.
※ Working-level participants and the press will be provided with mobile WiBro USB modem
- The participants can access the wireless Internet through which they can enjoy the live broadcasting
of the Ministerial, English TV channels (CNN and Arirang TV) and surfing the Internet.
Interactive TV Experience
Date: 16-18 June 2008
Available to: All participants to the Stakeholder Forums and the Ministerial Meeting
Location: Grand Ballroom lobby of the COEX (1st fl.)
Description
- Demonstration of commercialised two-way TV, such as IPTV, and the prototype of the future interactive
TV services.
DMB Experience
Date: 15-19 June 2008
Available to: Ministers-level
Location: Inside the protocol vehicle
Description
- Participants can watch the TV (CNN, Arirang TV and movies) through the DMB installed on the protocol
vehicles.
