The World IT Show (WIS), a privately organised international exhibition of information and communication technologies (www.wisexpo.co.kr), is scheduled to be held from 17 to 20 June 2008, alongside the Ministerial Meeting in the exhibition areas of the COEX. The annual exhibition is expected to showcase upcoming innovations and enable participants to experience “previews” of what the future of the Internet economy may herald.

Participating companies will be able to show cutting-edge/new products to those in attendance, including Ministers. The OECD’s Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) and the WIS organisers will provide information on participating in the exhibition to interested parties. The World IT Show is jointly organised by the Korea Association of Information and Telecommunication (KAIT), the Korea Economic Daily (KED), the Electronic Times (ET), the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the Convention and Exhibition (COEX) and E.J. Krause & Associates, Inc.

Two big-scale international ICT exhibitions, the Korea IT Show (KIS) and the Solution & Contents Exhibition of Korea (SEK), merge into the World IT Show (WIS).

In April and June of 2007, the KIS and the SEK attracted over 700 ICT companies including 180 foreign companies (MS, IBM, Sharp, Qualcomm, NI, ARM, Agilent Technologies, Cisco, etc.) from 52 countries.
