COEX

Since established in 1979, the Convention & Exhibition (COEX) has become one of the major sites for international exchange in Korea. Numerous international conventions as well as cultural and art events take place in the COEX, one of the best convention and exhibition centers in Korea. The COEX houses 61 conference rooms and 12 exhibition halls in a building of 4 stories and 4 basements, which total 36,342m² out of the total building surface of 430,000 m². The convention hall can accommodate 7,000 people. The venue is equipped with high-tech office and management systems. Recently, the COEX has been expanding its culture and art spaces with the opening of the super-scale cultural complex in May 2000, and the COEX Mall and the COEX Art hall in August 2004.
